May I pray for you?

As we begin another week, I recognize now more than ever that I need to rely on my faith each day for encouragement. St. Paul encouraged the Thessalonians in this way, "We always give thanks to God for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly keeping in mind your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father..." (1 Thessalonians 2-3)

I am so grateful to walk this journey with faith-filled friends and I pray everyday that our connection will grow even stronger.

As the days shorten, it can bring discouragement to our hearts and sadness to our spirits.

When I served as a hospital chaplain, I naturally asked each patient, "May I pray for you?" There were a variety of responses dependent on their faith.

I would like to offer the same to you. If there is something on your mind and heart that has troubled your spirit, I would enjoy the blessing of prayer with you.
