Going Home


Chances are, if you’ve ever been away from home for any length of time, you’ve desired to return to your abode. There’s just something about the comfort of your own dwelling that makes it so attractive.


As I long to return to my residence and my routine, I reflect on our human journey.


We are just passing through. Although we’re allowed incredible experiences of life on planet earth, this is not our eternal home.


There’s something awaiting all of us that captivates our human desires and longings. It is so magnificent that we can’t even behold its beauty and peaceful comfort in this physical body!


Yet our hearts hold an inkling of this residence that we’re returning to –


For now, my experience of longing for a return to my natural residence, serves as an awesome foreshadowing of my future departure.


“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
